FRIZZY LIZZY BOOKS: Frizzy Lizzy Books is a children’s publishing company dedicated to creating meaningful stories that resonate with today’s young readers as they navigate an increasingly complex and often fragmented world. Alongside whimsical storytelling and relatable challenges, the company is intentional about thoughtfully addressing more nuanced and emotionally complex topics, such as divorce and loss, while also embracing multicultural perspectives that reflect the diversity of children’s lived experiences. Each book is designed to inspire creativity, encourage problem-solving, and nurture the confidence to trust one’s instincts, empowering children to see themselves as capable, imaginative, and resilient in their everyday lives

FRIZZY LIZZY SERIES: The Frizzy Lizzy series is the foundation of Frizzy Lizzy Books and the inspiration behind the company’s name. This collection of whimsical stories is designed to inspire young readers ages 3–11 through the adventures of its central character, Frizzy Lizzy, a spirited, imaginative young heroine who leads with curiosity and courage. Brought to life through the captivating illustrations of Katherine Hillier, Lizzy’s stories encourage children to think creatively, take initiative, and, most importantly, become their own heroes.

OTHER BOOKS: Beyond the Frizzy Lizzy series, Frizzy Lizzy Books is continuing to grow the collection with new books that explore a broader range of topics and themes. While each story introduces fresh perspectives, they remain rooted in the same intention; thoughtful storytelling paired with meaningful lessons. These new works are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and foster connection for both children and their families. As the collection evolves, my focus stays on creating engaging, purposeful content that resonates in lasting and impactful ways. With several new books and characters in development, I’m excited to bring them to life and share them with the world.

ILLUSTRATOR: KATHERINE HILLIER
Katherine Hillier is an illustrator and artist based in Northamptonshire, England, where she was born and continues to live and work. She studied illustration at Northampton University and Camberwell College of Arts in London. Her work is inspired by both the quiet beauty of the countryside and the vibrant energy of urban life, blending natural elements with expressive, imaginative detail. As the lead illustrator and creative partner behind Frizzy Lizzy Books, Katherine brings her distinctive style and artistic vision to each project, creating work that resonates with children and adults alike.

DESIGNER: JODI MCPHEE
Jodi McPhee is a freelance book designer based in North Idaho, where she lives with her daughter and two pets. She earned her master’s degree in English, with an emphasis in Book Publishing, from Portland State University. Jodi specializes in book design and formatting, with a particular passion for children’s books, where she brings a playful, creative approach to color, layout, and typography. As a key member of the Frizzy Lizzy Books team, she helps bring each story to life through thoughtful, polished design.

EDITOR: AMY BETZ
Amy Betz is an editor and publishing professional based in Connecticut, where she lives with her family. Before founding Tiny Tales Editing, she served as a Senior Editor at Scholastic and The Walt Disney Company, working with numerous award-winning and best-selling authors and illustrators. Today, she brings that experience to her work with both emerging and established writers. As the lead editor for Frizzy Lizzy Books, Amy helps shape each story with clarity, care, and a deep understanding of the children’s publishing landscape.
